Sweet Crib

My mom and dad said that we closed on a house today. I'd rather it be open but maybe that'll happen by the time we get there.

Rocky Mountain High

It's been a few days since my last post ... I've been busy! We got to Colorado on Friday and stayed at Kelly and Scott's house. More importantly, I met two new friends, Kobi and Suki. We had some disagreements at first but then I heard what they were saying and they found out what Barry was all about and we worked it out. Now we all bark at the window when someone comes to the door or someone walks by.

On Saturday we went on a walk and I got to run through fields (even though dad told me not to) and jump in a stream (even though mom got worried I would get sick). But that was only the start of the fun! On Sunday we climbed a mountain! It was all mom could talk about on the trip and we did it! There were rocks and streams and even snow! I know what you're thinking ... it's the summertime. I got shaved and everything but there was snow. You know I ran in it too. I even met another chocolate Labradoodle named Rex. I was super tired afterwards but I felt like a new dog!

I've posted some photos below, mostly of me looking awesome. We are going to head out Tuesday. I'll let you know all the cool stuff that happens between now and then.

Hi we're in Kansas

Right, the rumors are true...Kansas is boring. We left St. Louis this morning, took my puppy Valium and we were off. I think I slept most the time, mom kept trying to take photos of creepy billboards and dad was just excited about not driving our big ole U-Haul over mountains. We stopped at this random gas station, cus that's all that's around and mom and dad tried to leave me there.

We got to our hotel in Junction City, KS and it was pretty ucky. Mom complained a lot and wouldn't let me lay on the ground, and she always wore her flip flops (freak). We went into "town" to pick up some dinner and it was, rufffff... :) I mean Kansas is just like nothing, plus gas stations and fast food. I mean I wanted some action, but I hear I am going to have in Boulder, so I can wait.

When we came back from dinner, there were like a million U-Hauls in our parking lot. I think they are all going to Oregon too, which would be pretty cool.

You ain't nothin' but a :belch:

So much for seeing The King ...

We left Nashville this morning and headed to Memphis. I didn't take my medicine this morning because mom wanted me to be ready to play with some other dogs! Dad said I should have taken it, though. I couldn't get comfortable in the Trooper today and I ended up in between the seats! I'm stubborn, though, and wouldn't let mom help me up.

It was reaallllly hot in Memphis and we were almost there when I had enough. My tummy hurt and I got sick. Dad got mad (as always) and mom was trying to make it better (she's better). Maybe I should have taken my medicine. Dad gave me some and I felt gooooooood. I was still able to play with the other dogs at mom's friend Jenna's house. Their names were Fronk and Lucy. There was a pool in the backyard but mom and dad wouldn't let me swim. I love the water!!!

Since I got sick and we were running late, we didn't go see Graceland. Mom really wanted me to but then she didn't seem to mind. I guess she was ready to get to the next place.

Now we're in St. Louis. We drove over 520 miles today! It was wayyy longer than yesterday and we didn't finish until it was dark outside. We are staying at a hotel and this is not the type of hotel I usually stay in. There are fountains and big beds. We got to go in this box that dings and dings and brings you to different places! I don't know how long we are staying in this magical place but it seems pretty sweet!

I'm pooped! It's a lot tougher than you think to sleep in a car all day. Good thing I have this comfy bed!

What is a volunteer?

We are in Nashville, it is the in a state called Tennessee and they are the home of the volunteers? I don't know what that means. But I do know I am having a good night with Meg and Ellen and they are being super sweet to me. I have a whole new house to roam, and I LUV TO ROAM.

The car ride was good. My mom gave me a puppy Valium, that is what she called it and giggled, all I know is I felllttttt gooooodddddddd. Very relaxed, sleepy and at ease. We made a few stops, one place in the mountains of N.C. with lots of bikers. I asked them for a ride and they said they didn't accept Labradoodles. Whatevs, I have a sweet ride. You can check out my pictures below. Ignore the one of me sleeping though.

I am pretty tired from the long ride, it was 420.4 miles (dad is keeping track of everything, including making mom keep every reciept from gas, lame) and it took 7 hours. Dad drove the whole time and the Trooper was totally great.

Alright I am off to bed, we are going to Memphis tomorrow to visit Jenna. I also think we are going to visit the home of the King? Graceland or something... I don't know if they let dogs in?

Bon Voyage, Raleigh!

Sorry I've been away from the blog for so long. Mom and Dad didn't have the Interweb at home and then I went to Grandma and Grandpa's house so I was too busy playing with Auggie and Foster.

Things were almost all packed up when I left my house. Now Mom and Dad are here and they said they have everything! I'll post a picture of our sweet ride. There's the car and a trailer. Hopefully, I get to ride in the car. I guess the old place is empty, which is OK because it didn't have a yard. Our new place does, so that's way better. So I guess that's it for Raleigh. No more dog park, no more runs through Cameron Village, and no more squirrels running all around our house. I never did catch one ...

I went in the lake today with a new toy that Mom bought me. I'll miss the lake; I get so excited when I get to go in. Mom and Dad said we could go to the coast in Oregon! Most importantly, they got me a new bag of my favorite dog food for the trip so I am good to go.

We leave Tuesday. I'll write again later, there's a bird out back.

We're on our way

Mom and dad have been busy the last few weeks getting ready for our trip. We have boxes all around the house and I am still pretty nervous they may leave me. I know I have done some bad things before, but really you aren't going to take me? They keep talking about this place called Oregon, sounds kinda creepy. The people there like to eat organic food, and that sounds bad. As long as they have bananas, green beans and my fancy dog food I am fine.

I am not sure how long it takes to get to Oregon. I heard mom say it takes foooreeevvverrrrr. We leave on June 29th from grandma and grandpas' house at Lake Norman, which is cool cus I get in a few days of playing with Auggie and Foster. Then we don't get to Oregon until July 9th. That is like a million dog years.
